I was recently introduced to a publication that includes several academic papers about Black males. “The Handbook of Research on Black Males” was edited by Theodore S. Ransaw, C. P. Gause, and Richard Majors, and published in 2019 by Michigan State University Press.
Though I haven’t received my copy in the mail yet, I’m eager to dive into the research that reveals and analyzes the data points explaining the experience of Black men across the diaspora. Some of it we have discussed here, but there is much more to explore. I hope this published work is a large step towards fulfilling Tommy J. Curry’s demand for a Black Male Studies discipline.
